Costa Group confirms its presence at the 2011 edition of the Host Fair in Milan, with a brand new concept: think about an Hotel hall... and imagine something completely different! The idea is simple, maybe too easy not to try it!
The Hotels are located in the best parts of the cities, they offer large but mostly unused spaces, and innovation and technology have completely changed the approach with the client... at Host, Costa Group tries to reshape the hotel hall, filling an empty space with friendship, music and attractions.

The 500 sqm of the Pavilion 14 renovate and recreate the wide spaces of an ideal Hotel.
Usually not much used or simply considered as a passage way, the hall is a space dedicated to meetings and conviviality, not used exclusively by the clients and only at certain times of the day but an enjoyable place accessible throughout the whole day.
From breakfast to an aperitif with friends, from bread, fruits and vegetables puchase to an icecream with the children.
For the occasion, 5 spaces in a single unit have been created to mix tradition and creativity.
The pastry area is a traditional setting, preserving the atmosphere of a shop of the past. Colors and tastes are wisely combined and showed together with an interesting ice-creams novelty: refrigerated “pozzetti” (steel lids), a Costa Group's patent, recall atmospheres and tastes of the past, telling us that “sometimes an ice-cream helps us live better”.
Innovation and originality are the main features of the fruit and vegetable corner with a consolidated format like Pasqualino: a fitting made up of salvaged materials, like wood pallet, and natural elements like the bright light-colored stone, used as a scenographic frame surrounding fruits and vegetables. Pasqualino reinterprets the greengrocer of the past, with vegetables juices, tasty salads prepared in front of the visitors, and yoghurt, fruits and cereals.
In the coffee corner, a wide selection including coffees, fresh cocktails and milkshakes, is surrounded by a coloured, enjoyable atmosphere. The big floral mosaic of the corner is the ideal frame for a break with friends.
From coffee to pizza, that comes from the oven during the whole day: cold cuts are sliced, the operators knead the flour and offer a taste of Campanian mozzarella. Everything is surrounded by a scenographic wall full of cobs, the warm colors of pasta and a scent of garlic.
Finally, a new format replicable in commercial spaces show us a new way to live pasta. A spaghetti box becomes the place to cook and dress pasta, in front of a long queue of visitors, waiting for their turn.

After the great success of New York opening, Eataly renovates the partnership with Costa Group.

“The temple of made in Italy”, this is how the businessman Oscar Farinetti called his dream. After the openings in Turin, Tokyo and New York, Eataly reaches Genoa, opening in the attractive location of the Porto Antico, between the historical Pirates' Galleon and the modern Aquarium and becoming a welcoming point for turists on a cruise, visitors and city dwellers.

Visiting Eataly means living an amazing cookery experience in a location where it is possible to appreciate traditions and Italian food, and where people can buy and taste a wide range of high-quality food and drink for a good price.

Born in Turin, today Eataly represents a universal format appealing to every country interested in the great culture of food, celebrating the pleasure of home-made pasta, fresh basil, bread with natural rising agents, good olive oil and Italian perfumes.

Eataly covers a 1600 square metres area, including restaurants, meat, fish and vegetables markets, cheese tasting area, a café and a chocolate shop, carefully designed and furnished by Costa Group.

Eataly offers a wide range of typically Italian foods and products wich can be bought and taken away or consumed in the appropriate areas, becoming not only a meeting place for gourmands, but also a place where city dwellers can go shopping or taste an high quality meal. Thanks to this innovative format, Eataly is a location where Italians can feel at home all over the world, and tourist can discover and appreciate Italian specialties and tastes.

After New York and Genoa openings, Costa Group and Eataly are going to reconfirm and strenghten their cooperation, carrying out new international plans.

Egregio Presidente,

Le invio i miei saluti e il più sincero apprezzamento per quanto state facendo per promuovere i nostri prodotti in uno stile di "vita biologico", attento alla sostenibilità e alla tracciabilità.

Con la Vostra iniziativa insegnate non solo la gratitudine verso la Terra, ma invitate a riflettere sul necessario cambiamento di rotta radicale e immediato contro l'eccessivo spreco di cibo che va contro ogni senso morale ed economico.

Una riflessione che deve partire dalle nostre piccole abitudini quotidiane, che devono prendere il via proprio da una sana alimentazione, fatta di tutti i prodotti della nostra terra ottenuti dal duro lavoro agricolo che li ha portati sulle nostre tavole. Attraverso il lavoro agricolo si determina l'identità delle comunità umane, che legano la nostra terra e i prodotti alle loro filosofie profonde.

Un mio personale grazie a Voi tutti che contribuite a promuovere uno stile di vita in sintonia con l'ambiente che ci circonda.
